Clark Kent, the established author at the Daily Planet, was a two-time Pulitzer winner for his novels, The Janus Contract and Under a Yellow Sun. He enjoyed covering art as a subject matter for his journalism. He thought that the positivity it offered was as important as anything else he could do. He also covered crime and current events as a necessity. Clark Kent didn’t miss a deadline.

Clark Kent also had a few extracurricular activities. These were arguably his greatest works.

Clark Kent is Superman. Duh. (I also didn’t make any of this up. Comic books ftw.)

Imagine if 5 o’clock came and Clark Kent punched out. He grabbed a beer and watched the Metropolis Monarch’s game and then played on his phone for a while. That’s not the inspiring story we’ve grown up with. Are you checking out after work or just getting started?

To quote Eminem, “he hoped and he wished it but it didn’t fall in his lap so he ain’t even here.” So many people are waiting for their dream, they won’t decide to wake up and make it happen. If time is your greatest resource and investment, is it more valuable today or tomorrow? Defeat procrastination and make it happen today.

You are an investment. If you want to see your stock go up, start your grind. Make a practice for yourself that brings you closer to the goals you want and do it daily, or nightly rather.

Stay on your grind because even Superman had a day job.
